Alliance 2695 Separations Module breaks vials - WKB4535

SYMPTOMS

• Vials break during an injection
• No errors observed

ENVIRONMENT

• 2690/2695/e2695 Alliance HPLC
• Alliance Separations Module
• Waters vials with low-volume inserts

CAUSE

The default needle depth offset is too low for low-volume inserts.

FIX or WORKAROUND

You can offset the depth of the needle in the vial to compensate for when you use low-volume inserts in the sample vials.

From the front panel of the 2695, select Diag > Service Utilities > Custom Offset and enter the value listed in Table B-4 of the 2695 Separations Module Operator's Guide.
