SYMPTOMS

  • Instrument produces "Sample Fluidics High Pressure Limit" Error during injection cycle
  • Instrument produces "Sample Fluidics High Pressure Limit" Error during priming of wash solvents

ENVIRONMENT

  • ACQUITY UPLC
  • ACQUITY UPLC I-Class
  • nanoACQUITY UPLC
  • ACQUITY Sample Manager

CAUSE

Clog inside sample needle or bent sample needle

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Replace sample needle.
  2. Prime wash solvents and sample syringe for at least three cycles.
  3. Calibrate X-, Y- and Zp positions.
  4. Calibrate needle z axis position.
  5. Calibrate needle seal.
  6. Calibrate needle and loop volumes.
  7. Perform sample syringe and wash syringes leak tests.
  8. Test the system with known standard.
