How to defrost an Alliance sample compartment - WKB256156

OBJECTIVE or GOAL
Recover the cooling efficiency of a sample heater/cooler.
Perform defrost when it fails to reach the lowest recommended set point at ambient conditions (ambient minus 25 °C or 4 °C, whichever is greater).
ENVIRONMENT
- Alliance HPLC System
- 2695 Separations Module
PROCEDURE
- Confirm that the sample heater/cooler is not in use.
- Remove all carousels and vials from the sample compartment.
- On the front panel of Alliance's Home screen, select Diag.
- Select Other Test.
- Scroll down the menu to Defrost sample cooler and press OK.
- Press Start to begin the defrost.
7. After pressing Start, open the sample compartment door when prompted, and press OK.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- The sample compartment door must remain open during the entire procedure.
- The Defrost Sample Heater/Cooler screen indicates when the procedure ends and prompts to close the sample compartment door.
- A log entry results if the procedure is interrupted or terminated prematurely.
