ACQUITY BSM shows "excessive leak back error" during dynamic leak test - WKB243155

SYMPTOMS

• Dynamic leak test fails to achieve set pressure for the accumulator
• Pressure increases and then falls back, primary pressure spikes, accumulator pressure rises, and cycle repeats
• Excessive leak back error eventually occurs

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC BSM
• ACQUITY UPLC

CAUSE

Leaking accumulator transducer to vent valve compression fitting

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Replace the tubing (430001200 - Acc. A Transducer to Vent Valve, 430001199 - Acc. B Transducer to Vent Valve). 
2. Perform the dynamic leak test.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

A solvent droplet was visible on the tubing.
