ACQUITY needle wash drain tubing is detached from Y carriage - WKB241227

SYMPTOMS

• Tubing from Y carriage to BOS pump repeatedly detaches from the Y carriage

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY Classic Sample Manager

CAUSE

The tubing end became baggy over time and no longer stays in place when pushed onto the barbed fitting.        

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Trim a few mm of enlarged tubing from the end of the tube.
2. Refit the tubing to the barbed fitting on the Y carriage.
3. There is plenty of slack in the tubing to do this; new tubing is not required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If on inspection you discover the tubing has shrunk by about 25% in external diameter and length, the tubing (430001002) must be replaced.
