SYMPTOMS

• Column inlet leaks
• Shifting Retention times

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC (all variants)

CAUSE

Improper column fitment

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Remove the column.
2. Release/loosen all retention screws that may be present.
3. Ensure that ferrule is in place and that sufficient tube protrudes from its tip.
4. Fit column and tighten fittings (finger-tight is sufficient).
5. If the leak persists, replace the ferrule
