How to perform the wavelength calibration test on an ACQUITY UPLC FLR detector - WKB238326

Article number: 238326

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Perform the wavelength calibration test on an ACQUITY UPLC FLR detector.

ENVIRONMENT

  • ACQUITY UPLC FLR detector

PROCEDURE

To perform the wavelength calibration test

Requirements: Ensure that the FLR detector is powered-on and that you have allowed a 30-minute equilibration period after powering-on.

  1. Ensure that 90:10 water/acetonitrile is flowing through the flow cell at 0.5 mL/min.
  2. In the ACQUITY console, select FLR Detector from the system tree.
  3. In the ACQUITY console UPLC FLR detector information window, select Maintain > Calibrate Wavelength.
  4. In the Calibrate Wavelength dialog box, click Start.
  5. After the wavelength calibrates, the Results pane displays any deviations since the last calibration.

Requirement: To pass the calibration, the displayed deviation must be <= 3 nm.

6. If the displayed deviation is not <= 3 nm, repeat the wavelength calibration.

If unsuccessful, power cycle the detector, clean the flow cell, and repeat the test.
