Perform the FLR detector emission units normalization test.

PROCEDURE

To perform the emission units normalization test

Requirements: Ensure that the FLR detector is powered-on and that you have allowed a 30-minute equilibration period after powering-on.

  1. After successfully performing the wavelength calibration procedure, ensure that 90:10 water/acetonitrile is flowing through the flow cell at 0.5 mL/min.
  2. In the ACQUITY console, select FLR Detector from the system tree.
  3. In the ACQUITY console UPLC FLR detector information window, select Maintain > Normalize Units.
  4. In the Normalize Units dialog box, click Start.

Result: After the emission units are normalized, the results pane appears.

Requirement: To pass the normalization, the Raman wavelength must be 416 +/- 3 nm.

If unsuccessful, power cycle the detector, clean the flow cell, and repeat the test.
