SYMPTOMS

• Set pressure diagnostics fails when testing up to pre-column

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC M-Class

CAUSE

A bad fitting for tubing connection from the flow controller to the Tee before column

or from vent valve to flow controller

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace the appropriate piece of tubing. For tubing:

• external to the pump, see here
• inside the pump, see here 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If above tubing replacement doesn't fix the issue the vent valve is likely faulty and should be replaced
