SYMPTOMS

• SM-FTN Seal force sensor h/w fault (10.0) error for sample manager FTN during initialization, just after the needle carriage touches the rotary tray
• Error is intermittent
• After load cell replacement, z-axis calibration out of range error observed, followed by inability to calibrate needle seal

CAUSE

Faulty sensor interface PCB

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace the sensor interface PCB (700005195).
