SYMPTOMS
- Error on Column Manager under UNIFI control
- Unable to reset the CM.
- Power-cycle does not resolve the issue; nor does software reset
ENVIRONMENT

CAUSE
Problem with startup and shutdown methods
FIX or WORKAROUND
- To establish communication with the CM, go to the UNIFI console and reset the non volatile RAM on the CM.
- To prevent the problem, ensure that the shutdown method is set up correctly. See With UNIFI 1.8 and a CM-A, startup-shutdown method defect is causing instrument control issues - WKB11552
