CAUSE
The degasser chambers were insufficiently primed with fresh solvent
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Prime each line in 100% methanol for five minutes.
- Caution: Flush with a high aqueous intermediate solvent before moving to 100% methanol if the previous solvents are unknown or contained buffers.
- If no further errors are observed, switch to an appropriate intermediate solvent and prime only the lines that will be used before returning to the required mobile phase.
