2707 is holding, injection runs but does not stop - WKB192795

SYMPTOMS

• 2707 runs an injection but does not stop at the end of the run time
• Injection runs until the 2707 goes into "Idle" status, an instrument failure occurs, and then the 2707 stops 
• 
• Message on the Run screen states that the 2707 is "holding"

ENVIRONMENT

•  2707 Sample Manager

CAUSE

2707 Sample Manager is waiting for a response or signal.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Open the instrument method and select the 2707.
2. Click on the Event tab and change Input 1 or Input 2 from "Hold inject" to "Stop inject". 
3. Run several samples to confirm that the sample manager no longer waits and continues on to the next injection.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The 2707 was also connected to a Waters Fraction Collector 3 via an I/O cable. The 2707 was holding while waiting on the WFC3. Because the user was not using the WFC at the time, the input was changed from "Hold inject" to "Stop inject". 

The 2707 no longer no longer holds; it continues to the next injection.
