Column Manager General Failure: Operating mode set to Advanced - WKB12499

SYMPTOMS

• Error appears when loading method or starting acquisition

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC Column Manager
• MassLynx 4.1

CAUSE

Column Manager is configured in Advanced mode in MS Console, but Column Selection mode is used in the inlet method.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Open MS Console.
2. Select Column Manager in the left-hand pane.
3. Click on the Configure tab, and then click Operating Mode.
4. Change the operating mode from Advanced to Column Selection.
5. Cycle power to the Column Manager, restart MS Console, and reset communications in the Inlet Method editor.
6. Confirm that the method now loads successfully.
