Solvent leaks from inside black head nut on Alliance HPLC system - WKB122763

SYMPTOMS

• With pump pressure above 2000 psi, solvent leaks from inside the black head nut

ENVIRONMENT

• 2695 Separations Module
• 2695D Dissolution Separations Module
• 2795 Separations Module
• Alliance HPLC System

CAUSE

Yellow plunger wash seal does not seal.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Replace the yellow plunger wash seal (WAT271018 - Seal Wash Plunger Seal Replacement Kit).
2. Replace part WAT271067 (Oriented Plunger Perfomance PLUS) or part WAT270959 (Plunger Assembly (Standard)).
3. Replace the clear seal wash tubing (WAT270988 -Tubing , Seal Wash PTFE).
