What are the updates for the e2695 firmware v3.06 release? - WKB119263

Article number: 119263

ENVIRONMENT

  • Alliance HPLC System
  • 2695 Separations Module

ANSWER

Alliance firmware v3.06 provides the following fixes:

           INS-10489:
An Alliance GPV (Gradient Proportioning Valve) timing defect can, under certain combinations of gradient slope, solvent compressibility, and system pressure, result in the GPV staying closed when any solvent reaches a programmed composition of 100%. This issue can result in the loss of pump pressure and prime. This firmware update corrects the GPV timing issue.
INS-15499:
The Alliance e2695 Separations Module ships from the factory with no seal calibration data stored in its memory because these values are established after installation of the instruments. Due to a minor defect related to the blank calibration values, the Alliance v3.05 firmware consistently issues a Needle Malfunction Alert indicating that the Adjust Seals function cannot proceed. A second attempt does not encounter the error and the function proceeds normally. The initial failure causes no consequence to the Adjust Seals function other than necessitating a second attempt to Adjust Seals. This firmware update corrects this initial Alert error.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

e2695 Alliance firmware version 3.06 is now available.

This update is recommended for systems currently at firmware version 3.05. Alliance firmware revision 3.06 can be installed only on an Alliance e2695 or a previously upgraded 2695 to an Ethernet system.
