Alliance 2695 fails static leak test after PM - WKB117691

SYMPTOMS

• Accumulator actuator fails static leak test

ENVIRONMENT

• Alliance HPLC System
• 2695 Separations Module
• 2695D Dissolution Separations Module
• 2795 Separations Module

CAUSE

Face seals are not flat against the bulkhead.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Turn off the GPV.
2. Remove the head nut from the accumulator and primary.
3. Remove both the accumulator and primary J-tube pump heads and switch them around. Make sure the pump head is seated correctly, and reinstall the head nut.
4. Prime the pump with methanol for one minute and perform the static leak test again.
