Contamination peaks at 200 and 270 eluting from LC with Xevo G2-XS - WKB114233

SYMPTOMS

• Peaks at 200 and 270 eluting off column at 6 minutes and 7 minutes; can be seen in background continuously until the LC returns to initial conditions
• Running H₂0, MeOH with formic acid
• New solvents and water do not address the issue

CAUSE

Contaminated formic acid

FIX or WORKAROUND

Use unopened 1-mL glass ampules of formic acid.
