Alliance 2695 Sample Heater/Chiller will not cool to set point - WKB11392

SYMPTOMS

• Sample heater chiller does not cool to the set point.
• Sample compartment is defrosted (by either setting temperature to 40 degrees for 2 hours or powering off Alliance overnight).
• Room temperature is normal with no fluctuations
• No heat source near instrument
• Fan at rear of instrument is air flowing from both sides.

ENVIRONMENT

• Alliance HPLC System
• 2695 Separations Module

CAUSE

Faulty heater cooler engine.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace the heater/cooler engine - part number 700001066

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Very old 2690 systems might also need a heater/cooler foam kit 700001295

Part number for Alliance Sample heater/cooler assay: WAT270804

Check and confirm that the power supply is giving a correct voltage output. See Document 715004034.
