SYMPTOMS

• High contamination peak observed from UPLC in blank injections

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC
• Third-party MS

CAUSE

Contamination due to injection of high-concentration samples

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Replace the weak needle wash with stronger solvent, and prime the sample and wash syringes multiple times.
2. Make some blank injections to clean the loop and flow path in the sample manager.
