SYMPTOMS

• Message on the front panel of Alliance 2695: "A hardware fault has been detected by the column heater electronics"
• Reboot does not resolve
• Cannot set column heater temperature

ENVIRONMENT

• Alliance HPLC System
• 2695 Separations Module
• 2695D Dissolution Separations Module
• Alliance Series Column Heater
• Alliance Series Column Heater/Cooler

CAUSE

The cable is not seated properly.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Power-off the 2695 and the column heater.
2. Reseat the cable between the 2695 and the column heater.
3. Power-on the 2695 and the column heater.
