CAUSE
The battery was replaced, causing the IEEE address to default to 4 and the serial number to be missing. This caused a conflict with another 2487 detector with the same IEEE address of 4.
FIX or WORKAROUND
Re-enter the serial number from the front panel and set the IEEE address to 5, or any address that is not used by other IEEE equipment.
