ACQUITY PDA "Communication Failure" that cannot be cleared with the reset PDA function - WKB10149

SYMPTOMS

  • "Communication Failure" in the ACQUITY console of the PDA

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 3
  • ACQUITY PDA
  • ACQUITY Console
  • LAC/E

CAUSE

Unknown.

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Close out "Run Samples" page and "ACQUITY Console".
  2. In a Citrix environment, perform a "soft" restart of the LAC/E through the empower console "configure system". (NOTE: Leave ACQUITY components powered-on.)
  3. Select "Nodes" from the menu tree.
  4. Highlight the correct LAC/E from the list.
  5. Right-click and select "Reboot".
  6. Open "Run Samples" page.
  7. Verify connectivity.
