2695 Separations Module: Check valve material difference - WKB100208

Article number: 100208

ENVIRONMENT

  • 2695 Separations Module

ANSWER

There are two types of materials: ruby and ceramic.
For pulsating flow with the standard ruby type, there are some cases where pulsating flow is eliminated by replacing with ceramic.
(Mainly in the cases of analysis using buffers, still it may not be eliminated).
The disadvantages of ceramic are that it is more susceptible to high pressure and wear faster than ruby.
Therefore, the standard ruby type should be used unless there is a pulsation.
