PROCEDURE
Before using this Tool, a Waters Engineer must enable the waters_connect Oracle user. This needs to be run only once per installation on the workstation or the server.
Ask the engineer to refer to internal-only document wkb297772 for the procedure.
Running the tool
- Download the tool to the desktop or a local drive location.
- Simply run the tool without any (local) administrator privileges and wait until the calculations are complete.
- Review the report (see example below).
This report shows in the Summary that this database has 249.83 GB of space free (so the user needs to start exporting and deleting data folders - see WKB12003).
Also, this report shows a large amount (2.937 TB) of orphaned data (an artifact from the migration from 1.9.4). If you see this, escalate to Waters Service. They will contact Global Support Informatics to remove this data.
Note: The Tool may take 1 hour to show the space released after exporting or cleanup.
