"Policy setting not supported" error message - WKB297954

SYMPTOMS

• When processing data in Peptide MAM, Confirm Sequence, or Intact Mass, the error message "This policy requires a password. This policy setting is not supported in this version of [name of application]" appears

ENVIRONMENT

• waters_connect
• MS Quan
• INTACT Mass 
• Confirm Sequence
• Peptide MAM 

CAUSE

In waters_connect > Administration > Folder Policies > Policy Editor, there is a "Password required" option next to the "Type of action" options.

This is not currently supported for Confirm Sequence, INTACT Mass, or Peptide MAM actions. If you select the "Password required" check box for any of the actions for these apps, the app returns an error message.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Clear the selection of the "Password required" option for the Peptide MAM, INTACT Mass, and Confirm Sequence apps in custom policies.
