DYNAMICS log files are stored inDocuments\\Dynamics\\Logsand follow the formatdynamics_log_<timestamp>.txt. For more detailed logs, place thedynamics_logging.configfile in theDocuments/Dynamicsfolder, reproduce the error, and then remove the config file to avoid large file generation. Dump files are located inDocuments\\Dynamicsand are nameddynamics_<version>_<timestamp>.threadsor dynamics_<version>_<timestamp>.dmp. These should be sent to Wyatt Technical Support if a crash occurs. Choose files with timestamps close to the crash date.

Where do I find the DYNAMICS log files and dump files?
DYNAMICS log files
DYNAMICS log files are located at Documents\\Dynamics\\Logs and have the format dynamics_log_<timestamp>.txt. If the default log file does not have enough information, you must turn on additional logging:
- Place the file
dynamics_logging.configbelow in theDocuments/Dynamicsfolder. - Open DYNAMICS and reproduce the error.
- Close DYNAMICS and remove the config file from the folder. If the config is left in the Dynamics folder for too long, it will rapidly generate large text files.
- You should then see a
dynamics_log_<timestamp>.txtfile in the folderDocuments\\Dynamics\\Logs. Send this file to Wyatt Technical Support.
DYNAMICS dump files are located in the folder Documents\\Dynamics. If DYNAMICS has crashed, send the .threads and .dmp files in this folder. The files have the format dynamics_<version>_<timestamp.
