UNIFI does not make injection - WKB94232

SYMPTOMS

• UNIFI system starts acquisition but never makes injection 
• If pre-injection action is specified in the method, status sits on Pre-Injection Action and remaining time never advances
• If pre-injection action is not specified, status says Injection Started and remaining time counts down, but no injection takes place and no data is acquired

ENVIRONMENT

• UNIFI 1.9.4 workstation
• Xevo G2-XS QToF
• I-Class BSM, FTN, PDA

CAUSE

Unknown

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Stop and close analysis.
2. Close UNIFI portal.
3. Reboot workstation PC.
4. Wait for Waters.ServiceHost.exe instances to start.
5. Reboot EPC using wt_Reboot command over serial connection or telnet.
6. Start portal and log in.
7. In Administration > Device Management, right-click on the workstation and choose Reset. Say Yes at the prompt.
8. Wait for the workstation status to say Online.
9. Make sure the Instrument System is Online.
10. Open the system in My Work.
11. Put MS in Operate and turn on the lamp if necessary. 
12. Create new analysis.
13. Bring up System side panel in the Analysis window and choose Go To Initial conditions from System pane drop-down menu.
14. Wait for system to stabilize.
15. Submit samples.
