PDA communications error on UNIFI network controlled system - WKB91399

SYMPTOMS

• PDA component shows communication error in instrument console.
• PDA was reset through the console and by cycling power on the unit, but still shows communication error.

ENVIRONMENT

• UNIFI Network
• ACQUITY UPLC PDA detector

CAUSE

Unknown.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. In device management, change the system status to Offline.
2. In the Laboratory network devices section, right-click the relevant LND and click "Reset device".
3. Once the LND comes back online, change the system status to online.
4. Open the instrument console and confirm that the PDA now communicates correctly.
