SYMPTOMS

• Several "Laboratory Network Device failed to update instrument configuration because the system was busy" messages seen in the instrument system logs

ENVIRONMENT

• UNIFI
• waters_connect

CAUSE

• CRI-1181
• These are informational messages rather than errors or warning and indicate a temporary issue with LND communication. 
• They can safely be ignored if the system is running normally and there are no other failures of acquistion.

FIX or WORKAROUND

These messages are informational only, not error or warning messages.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Reproducing the conditions that generate these messages on Waters test systems indicates that these messages do not affect system operation.
