How to add Unknown Component items to the Science Library? - WKB85655

PROCEDURE

You can’t add directly to the Science Library from Unknown Component, but it is possible to add via the Elucidate tool.

 

<To add it one by one>

  1. Right-click the Candidate Mass xxx.xxxx and select Elucidate.
  2. Select the Elemental Composition from the Processing list.
  3. Click the Start button.
  4. From the formulas showed, select the appropriate one and click the Assign button.
  5. Enter the compound name you want to register as the component name and click OK.
  6. Select Identified Component in the Workflow.
  7. Select the registered compound name, then click Send > Science Library.
  8. In the Existing Library field, specify the destination library and click OK.


<To add multiple items>

  1. Select Unknown Component in the Workflow.
  2. Select Component Review from the upper right Tools menu.
  3. On the left, the Candidate Mass xxx.xxxx shows Elemental Composition in the right column.
  4. Select a candidate mass to be added to the Science Library, select an appropriate one from the Elemental Composition in the right column, and click the Assign button.
  5. Enter the compound name you want to register as the component name and click OK.
  6. Select Identified Component in the Workflow.
  7. Select the multiple lines of registered compound names, then click Send > Science Library.
  8. In the Existing Library field, specify the destination library and click OK.
