SYMPTOMS
- Instrument disconnects when idle for some time and application window is unresponsive
ENVIRONMENT
- UNIFI v1.9.3 Network
- LND running Windows 7
- MassLynx
- Empower
CAUSE
The power setting on the PCI Express slot is set to "Maximum power savings".
FIX or WORKAROUND
On the Advanced settings tab, change the PCI Express setting to Off.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This PCI Express power setting manages power settings for the PCI slot where the Ethernet Network Interface Card (NIC) is. This would also impact any NICs and BusLACE cards for LAC/Es on Empower and NICs and NI GPIB cards for MassLynx.
