How to apply Microsoft security updates to a waters_connect server - WKB101635

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Apply Microsoft security updates to a UNIFI or waters_connect server.

ENVIRONMENT

• waters_connect UNIFI 1.9.9 or later
• Server or Workstation

PROCEDURE

1. Ensure that all users are logged out.
2. Ensure that there are no running analyses or processing jobs.
3. Apply the Microsoft Security updates. Do not apply optional updates, especially those for .NET (.NET security updates can be applied).
4. Reboot the workstation/server after updates are completed.
5. Confirm that functionality is unaffected.
6. If problems are seen, remove the updates and contact Waters Support for advice.
