OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Do an electronics (EPC) reboot on a Xevo QTof or Vion

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo QTof
• Vion
• UNIFI
• waters_connect
• MassLynx

PROCEDURE

Monitor using Hyperterminal (optional).

1. Close Tune Page
2. On the back of the MS, set the top switch (pump override) down (override on).
3. Set the lower switch down (electronics off).
4. Wait 60 seconds (to allow boards to fully dissipate).
5. Set the lower switch up (electronics on).
6. Wait five minutes and then check the system in MassLynx/UNIFI.
7. If MS is not responding in UNIFI, take system offline and do a reset of the LND/workstation in Device Management.
8. Bring system back online in Device Management.  If EPC failure error is seen, reboot MS a second time to clear error.
9. Once communications are re-established, on the back of the MS, set the top switch (pump override) up (override off).
