How to disable the System Restore program in Windows - WKB15558

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Disable the System Restore program in Windows. This program can cause communication issues; Data acquisition can fail if a restore point is created. 

ENVIRONMENT

• Windows OS
• MassLynx
• Empower

PROCEDURE

1. In Windows, navigate to Control Panel.
2. Select System.
3. In System, select Advanced system settings.
4. Select the System Protection tab.
5. Click Configure....
6. Select Turn off system protection.
7. Click Apply, and then click OK.
