Chalk is an augmented reality (AR) application that allows Waters specialists to leverage their mobile devices to remotely assess and troubleshoot issues virtually, without the need for travel. Chalk enables securely connected users to share areas of interests visually with the unique ability to add annotations directly on live imagery, helping pinpoint potential trouble areas and ensuring alignment during technical conversations.

Vuforia Chalk is accessed and delivered as a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) offering. Video, audio, and images are encrypted end-to-end using WebRTC standards and are delivered using a peer-to-peer delivery model. A new 9-digit code is provided by a Waters licensed user for every session created.
