Error: System Code (71) - No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time - WKB93563

SYMPTOMS

• The following error is reported in the NuGenesis Archive Agent activity log:

  • "System Code (71) - No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept."

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 SDMS
• NuGenesis 8 SDMS
• Empower

CAUSE

The folder being scanned has an "Advanced share" setting of 1 for "Limit the number of simultaneous users to". 

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Open Folder Properties for the folder being shared to NuGenesis. 
2. Click on the Sharing tab. 
3. Click on the Advanced sharing button.
4. Modify the "Limit the number of simultaneous user to:" setting back to the default of 20. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

In Empower, check the Empower Projects share settings.
