How to resolve Ora-29278 SMTP transient error: 421 Service not available in NuGenesis SDMS.

ENVIRONMENT

NuGenesis 8 SDMS

PROCEDURE

1. Run the SQL script ngsdms8_modify_ngsmtp_settings.sql in a SQL tool such as SQL*Plus with DBA rights.
2. Type the following values for requested parameters:
   • SMTP server name: <youremailserver>
   • Email purge interval eg: 4
   • SMTP From name [NuGenesis_SDMS70]: type the email address of a valid account in the domain
