Does the OSM module in NuGenesis SDMS write to an activity log file? - WKB64773

- NuGenesis 7.x SDMS
ANSWER
Yes, the Offline Storage Manager (OSM) writes to activity logs while the module is active. There is one file per Project-View-Device definition in the OSM configuration.
The files are written to the \RPC subfolder of the SDMS installation path:
- NuGenesis 9: Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Waters\NGSDMS\RPC
- NuGenesis 8: Drive:\Program Files (x86)\NuGenesis 8.0\RPC
- NuGenesis 7.x: Drive:\Program Files (x86)\NuGenesis 7.x\RPC
The file name pattern is "NGOSM_Project Name_Device Name_View Name.log".
Old activity log files are moved into the database at each refresh interval. The refresh interval defaults to 1 hour in the OSM configuration. The log files are visible in the SDMS_System_activities project and the OSM Activities view.
