How to restart the NuGenesis VISION service - WKB63501

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Cleanly restart the NuGenesis VISION service.

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 8 SDMS
• NuGenesis 9 SDMS

PROCEDURE

1. Stop these services:
   • Apache Tomcat 6 - NuGenesis 8
   • Apache Tomcat 9 - NuGenesis 9
   • World Wide Web Publishing
   • NuGenesis VISION Server
2. Start these services, in this order:
   • NuGenesis VISION Server
   • World Wide Web Publishing
   • Apache Tomcat 6 - NuGenesis 8
   • Apache Tomcat 9 - NuGenssis 9

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The NuGenesis Vision service listens on port 80 by default. If it cannot do so at startup, the service will fail to start. The service does not need to listen on port 80 for its normal operation; however, anything that uses port 80 will prevent the service from restarting.
