An error is reported in wrapper.log for the NuGenesis SDMS Instrument Agents when running as a service - WKB61222

SYMPTOMS

• The following error message appears in the wrapper.log file for the SDMS Instrument Agents each time the Waters SDMS Instrument Agents service is started:
  • ERROR  | wrapper  | DATE TIME | The value of property 'wrapper.app.parameter.2', '"ngprojmgr" "manager1" "<Local Servers>" "SERVER"' contains unquoted spaces and will most likely result in an invalid java command line

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 8 SDMS
• NuGenesis 9 SDMS

CAUSE

The default wrapper.conf file places all of the parameters to the instrument agents on one line.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Edit the file:
   • Drive:\Program Files\Waters\SDMSInstrumentAgents\agents\bin\windows\wrapper.conf
2. Look for the following line:
   • wrapper.app.parameter.2="ngprojmgr" "manager1" "<Local Servers>" "SERVER"
3. Separate the parameters into four lines, as follows:
   • wrapper.app.parameter.2="ngprojmgr"
   • wrapper.app.parameter.3="manager1"
   • wrapper.app.parameter.4="<Local Servers>"
   • wrapper.app.parameter.5="win2012-64-mm6"
4. Save and close the file.
5. Restart the service.
