How to enable debug logging for the NuGenesis SDMS Instrument Agents service - WKB61218

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Obtain detailed operational logs for the SDMS Instrument Agents service.

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 8 SDMS
• NuGenesis 9 SDMS
• The NuGenesis SDMS Instrument Agents is installed and configured to run as a service

PROCEDURE

1. Edit the file: 
   Drive:\Program Files\Waters\SDMSInstrumentAgents\agents\bin\windows\wrapper.conf (NuGenesis 8)
   Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Waters\NuGenesis LMS SDMS Instrument Agents\agents\bin\windows\wrapper.conf (NuGenesis 9)
2. Look for the following line in the file:  wrapper.logfile.loglevel=ERROR
3. Change "ERROR" to DEBUG.
4. Save and close wrapper.conf.
5. Start or restart the service "Waters SDMS Instrument Agents".
6. The log file is written to the same folder as wrapper.exe.
