Error "GetFSInfofromOCX: Failure to get FS information from ocx" appears in the NuGenesis Archive Agent log file - WKB60323

SYMPTOMS

• The following error message appears in the Archive Agent activity log file for one or more template lines:
  • GetFSInfofromOCX: Failure to get FS information from ocx for path \\ server\share\Path. (13): Unable to cast object of type 'NGAFILETRANSPORTCTLLib.NGAFileTransportCtlClass' to type 'NGAFILETRANSPORTCTLLib._DNGAFileTransportCtl'.

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 SDMS
• NuGenesis 8 SDMS

CAUSE

The Share Permissions in effect for the NuGenesis RPC service user on the shared folder include an explicit Deny permission.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Modify the Share Permissions on the shared folder so that the NuGenesis RPC service user has at least Read rights and that none of the permissions is set to Deny.
