SYMPTOMS

• No data is archived into NuGenesis SDMS from a particular UNC path \ shared folder
• Error "GetFSInfofromOcx 10048 Err Desc - TRANSPORT ERROR GETTING VOLUME INFORMATION. Error Category: 1 System Code (53) - The network path was not found" appears in the SDMS Archive Agent activity log file for the template line

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 SDMS
• NuGenesis 8 SDMS

CAUSE

The machine named in the UNC path for the template line - or in the "Remote DCOM Server" for Empower/Chromeleon template lines - is down, or for some other reason is no longer reachable on the network.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Start the machine named in the UNC path/Remote DCOM Server and/or fix the network issue.
