Cannot view the configuration report for a NuGenesis LMS document template - WKB51020

SYMPTOMS

• The "Configuration Report" window and the NuGenesis LMS client become unresponsive when building the HTML output file

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 8 LMS
• NuGenesis 8 ELN

CAUSE

The document template has many complex Excel/Smart Builder sections, which increases the size of the HTML file beyond 50 MB. Most web browsers, including Internet Explorer, cannot fully display pages that are more than 50 MB in size.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Examine the template sections for excess named ranges of Smart Builder settings. Each excess range or setting increases the size of the HTML file.
2. Contact Waters Technical Support to obtain a modified copy of the template.xsl file. This file reduces the size of the generated HTML file considerably compared to the default XSL file. The generated HTML may then be small enough to open in most web browsers.
