Empower project with 0 results is not archived by NuGenesis SDMS when the JCAMP conversion option is active - WKB32112

SYMPTOMS

• Empower projects that do not contain results are not archived into NuGenesis
• The following messages appear in the NuGenesis Archive Agent activity log:

  • "Value cannot be null.
    Parameter name: o: ","Waters.SDMS.WindowsService ","clsEmp2PreProc ","NGPerformConvTasks ","1 ",""

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 8 SDMS
• NuGenesis 8 Data Adapters R3
• A file capture template is configured to archive Empower projects with JCAMP conversion

CAUSE

A software defect in the data adapter

FIX or WORKAROUND

Use the Project Exceptions List in the SDMS file capture template to exclude 0-result projects from capture.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Defect reports CRI-38 and CRI-39 were filed for this issue. It was fixed in NuGenesis 9 SDMS Data Adapters R1.
