How does the NuGenesis LMS Toolbox export, import, and process data? - WKB27891

ANSWER
- Toolbox Export: the Toolbox copies the selected data (documents, user accounts, document templates, and so on) from the primary tables in the database to the dmp_ tables. For example, for a document export, it copies the relevant rows from elnprod.measureorder to elnprod.dmp_measureorder (and measureordera0 to dmp_measureordera0). The toolbox then invokes the exp.exe tool in the Oracle client to export the dmp_ tables from elnprod to a file on disk.
- Toolbox Import: the toolbox uses a PLSQL procedure to drop all of the dmp_ tables currently in the database, and then it uses the imp.exe tool in the Oracle client to import the dmp_ tables from the selected dump file. The toolbox parses the contents of the dmp_ tables and displays the data in listboxes. Finally, it copies the data from the dmp_ tables to the equivalent tables in the elnprod schema (example: from dmp_measureorder to measureorder).
