OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Determine what computer is locking out a user's account in NuGenesis SDMS.

ENVIRONMENT

  • NuGenesis 8 SDMS

PROCEDURE

  1. Open and log in to the NuGenesis SDMS Audit Trail Viewer website.
  2. Example:
  3. Select Users from the list in Data View on the audit information filter tab.
  4. Scroll to Audit and select User Authentication Failed.
  5. Click on the Results tab.
  6. A list of users appears where authentication failed.
  7. The list contains the computer name and username that are failing.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

When the computer where authentication is failing is located, log in to the computer and review the NuGenesis modules running the computer. Open the Task Manager and look for NG80*.exe processes.

Check all SDK applications, PWchache, and SCC modules for expired user accounts.
