NuGenesis versions from 8 to the latest release

ANSWER

Upgrading to a new major version of NuGenesis—for example, from NG8 to 9—requires a full installation of the new software on separate servers, uninstall/install of the client software on PCs/Citrix servers, and a database data migration.

Upgrades of minor versions or hotfixes within NuGenesis 8—for example from NG8 FR1 to SR2—are in-place upgrades of the database schema and the client/server software.

Upgrades from NuGenesis 9.0.x to 9.1 require a full install and database migration. Upgrades from 9.1 to 9.3 are in-place upgrades of the database schema and application software.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

NuGenesis 9.2, also known as "Empower LMS 1.0", is not included in any NuGenesis upgrade path; 9.2 is a stand-alone release intended for customers who do not have any previous version of NuGenesis. Customers who have NuGenesis 9.2 can upgrade to NuGenesis 9.4.
