Modifying tags in multiple records in NuGenesis WebVision causes all modifiable fields in the selected records to clear - WKB2516

SYMPTOMS

• When trying to modify the same tag field on multiple records in Web Vision, if one tag value, across all the selected records, is modified, all other tag values in all selected records are cleared.

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 8 SDMS

CAUSE

A change in the code in NuGenesis 8 Service Release 1.

FIX or WORKAROUND

All text from modifiable tags that are incorrectly cleared by this bug can be recovered using the NuGenesis Audit Trail Viewer.

A workaround to avoid the issue:

1. Modify the project properties in SDMS Administrator to allow modification only for the tag fields that you want to change
2. Make the change across the records in Web Vision, and then restore the project properties
